Title: Multi-wave and multi-frequency inverse problems

Abstract:

Inverse problems are at the heart of many imaging applications including geophysical exploration, biomedical imaging, radar, sonar, and non-destructive material testing. In this talk we will focus on two: one, the classical problem of inverse scattering, the other the modern problem of acousto-optic tomography. In particular, we will describe novel recovery approaches and present theoretical guarantees on stability and accuracy. Efficient, robust, and accurate numerical algorithms for both the forward and inverse problems will also be described.
